Goodwill Games Secure an Elite Panel of Judges for the Figure Skating Competition

The Goodwill Games today announced the roster of accomplished judges for the figure skating competition, which will be featured each night of the Winter Goodwill Games. From February 17-20, 2000 in Lake Placid, NY, the Olympic Arena will come alive as the world's best professional skaters, from the Champions on Ice tour, take to the ice. The judges, each with their own impressive credentials from past Olympic Games and World Championships, will be on hand to judge as the most decorated group of skaters in figure skating history competes to determine who will go home with Winter Goodwill Games gold.

"We've got a great group of outstanding skaters to judge this competition - many who won medals in the 1980 Games," said David Raith, Goodwill Games vice president of sports. "They also have great experience in judging events and we're excited for them to join us in Lake Placid."
