The Chandler Aquatic Centre will host three days of precision Diving during the 2001 Goodwill Games. Spectators will be afforded excellent views of the world's best divers performing an array of dives in 10 different events.

A total of up to 84 elite world divers (42 men and 42 women) will compete in what promises to be a spectacular and hotly contested meet from Friday, September 7 to Sunday, September 9.

There will be five events each for men and women - the 1m springboard, 3m springboard, 10m platform, 3m synchronised and 10m synchronised. Between eight and 12 divers will each contest the 1m, 3m and 10m events, and six pairs will contest the 3m and 10m synchronised events.

While Australia has traditionally not been a diving superpower in world sports, our solid performance at the Sydney Olympics gives our divers a real chance to shine before a home crowd at the 2001 Goodwill Games.
