The contest will take place from Wednesday, September 5 to Saturday,
September 8, with an Exhibition of Champions on September 9.
The 2001 Goodwill Games marks the first time world-class, senior
skaters have competed in a major international event in Brisbane. The blue-ribbon
event of winter sports is one of the three most watched sports on world television,
and promises to provide excellent entertainment.
The contest will see 28 of the world's best male and 28 of the
world's best female Figure Skaters compete for Goodwill Games gold. Four figure
skating events will be contested - the Ladies, Mens, Pairs and the spectacular
