Goodwill Games Chief to
View Games Progress
The AOL Time Warner Chief
Executive responsible for the Goodwill Games Mr Mike Plant
will be in Brisbane tomorrow to inspect Games progress and
take part in Friday's official launch of ticket sales.
Mr Plant will meet with the Brisbane organising
committee and will join Australian swimming superstar Ian
Thorpe, Minister for Sport Terry Mackenroth and the Chief
Executive of the 2001 Goodwill Games Brisbane Mr Campbell
Rose at the launch of ticket sales in Brisbane on Friday.

Mr Campbell Rose says phones have been running hot with people
calling to find out more information about tickets and the
release of the Games Ticketing Policy has been hailed a success.
"We are delighted that our Ticketing Policy
has been so well received and we are looking forward to a
great response from the public when our tickets hit the streets
on Friday morning," he said.
"Everything about the 2001 Goodwill Games
is full steam ahead from now until August 29 and with the
strong support we're receiving from the State Government,
our sponsors and our colleagues in the States, we're looking
forward to a huge event for Queensland and Australia.
"We're very optimistic that the public
will embrace our fair-go ticketing system and we believe the
prices make it a very affordable event for all," he said.
