Games Countdown Picks Up with 50-Days To
Go Pins
Pin collectors are eagerly
awaiting the release on Tuesday of the latest collectable
lapel pin in the countdown to the 2001 Goodwill Games.
A limited run of 2000 "50-days to go"
pins will be available for sale to the public exclusively
through Myer Brisbane City Store from Tuesday, 10 July, to
coincide with the 50 day countdown to the start of the Games.
The 50 days to go pins are the second in a series
of six collectable countdown pins and are expected to be as
in demand as the 100 days to go pins released on May 21.
Pin collectors rushed to purchase the 100 days
to go pins, resulting in the limited run of 1500 selling out
in two days.

Rose said the run on the 50 days to go pins was increased
by 500 to meet the expected demand.
"We were amazed at the interest collectors
showed in the first release of pins. It was great to see the
enthusiasm people had for these very unique pieces of the
2001 Goodwill Games," Mr Rose said.
The remaining pins in the countdown series are:
- "One month to go" to be released on July 29
- "10 days to go" to be released on August 19
- "5 days to go" to be released on August 24
- "1 day to go" to be released on August 28"
The pins have been manufactured by Cash's Australia
and will retail for just $12. Orders for the 50 days to go
pins can be placed with Myer Brisbane City Store during office
hours by phoning 07 3232 0121.

far and are encouraged by the enthusiasm of the public towards
our exclusive pin series," Myer Brisbane City Store Manager
Noel Charlish said.
Additional collectors' pins featuring
the 14 Goodwill Games sports, the Brisbane skyline, the Queensland
map and Australian map are also available at Myer Brisbane
