Clint
Flood is responsible for the overall development and delivery
of the event's operational components, which include:
- Sports and Venues
- Technology and Broadcasting
- Volunteer Management
- Operations
Flood graduated from the University of Calgary, Canada with a Bachelor of Arts and Economics in 1981.
He has, over the past 18 years, become a resourceful and accomplished manager with experience in developing, implementing and managing business strategies for a wide variety of companies and projects.
For the past five years he has been a partner in a consulting firm providing planning support and software to major events. A partial list of projects he has worked on includes: 1997 APEC Conference in Vancouver, 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur, 1999 Pan Am Games in Winnipeg, 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester, 2006 Commonwealth Games Bid by Melbourne, 2010 Vancouver Olympic Bid.
Previous to this consulting experience, Clint was part of the senior management team for 4 years at the 1994 Commonwealth Games in Victoria, and was on staff at the 1988 Calgary Olympics for 3 years.
Clint will manage the delivery of the 2001 Goodwill Games from a logistical, sporting, and technology perspective, working closely with all major stakeholders of the project, GWG Inc., and key service suppliers and sponsors. Clint will also coordinate the planning and delivery of the volunteer program of the Games, working closely with the other divisions of the organization to ensure a motivated, qualified, and ready work force is on hand come August 29, 2001.
