Phil Whittaker will drive the Games Marketing and Sponsorship division across advertising, promotions, sponsorship sales and servicing, ticketing, merchandising, and marketing liaison with the Time Warner companies in Australia.
After completing his business degree, Philip started his career working in hotel management with Sheraton Hotels.
He then moved into Sports Marketing with the leading consultancy, Sports Direction. In this new role, Philip managed the Sponsorship Division, where he worked for five years across a range of state and national sports clients including the Queensland State of Origin Team, Queensland Cricket, Ladies Professional Golf, Australian Rugby League and Australian Little Athletics.
Over the last two years, Philip has been responsible for managing Warner Village Theme Parks Corporate Partner Program, working across the group's three theme parks.
This role included negotiating and securing major sponsorships on behalf of the Group, together with developing a range of state and national corporate promotions.
During that time, Philip also worked on the Marketing Synergy Committee of Time Warner Companies in Australia.
Philip recently graduated from the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) where he earned a Masters of Business degree in Marketing.
He is an Associate Fellow of the Australian Marketing Institute. Philip plays an active role in the Sponsorship Industry in Queensland as Chairman of the Australian Sponsorship Marketing Association.
