Travel on Brisbane Transport bus and ferry services and QR
Citytrain rail services (within designated geographic boundaries)
is free for holders of valid 2001 Goodwill Games sports event
and Opening Gala tickets who are travelling on the day, to
and from the event nominated on their ticket.
The offer of free public transport excludes
Airtrain Airport services.
Free public transport is only available to
ticketed sports events and the Opening Gala.
There are two non-ticketed sports events -
Surf Lifesaving and Triathlon. Public transport to and from
Surf Lifesaving and Triathlon will be at the applicable fare,
payable by the user / traveller.

Rail, Bus and Ferry Entitlements
The entitlement to access free public transport as a part
of the "integrated public transport ticket price",
is defined by the following modes of transport and their
respective geographic boundaries:

Additional train and bus services
will be running during the Games, ensuring that there will
be a high level of capacity to meet demands. Rail and bus
travel are the recommended modes of public transportation
to Games events.
During the 2001 Goodwill Games, ferries
will operate according to typical commuter timetables and
existing scheduled daily services. Additional ferry services
will not be scheduled.
