Competition will be held at a variety of venues throughout Brisbane and the surrounds. The South Bank Precinct in the heart of Brisbane is proposed as the 'Games Hub'.

Close to the heart of the city, the South Bank Precinct caters to a wide range of visitors with facilities such as the Breaka Beach and lagoon; casual bar-b-que facilities, cafes and restaurants; the Cultural Centre with live theatre, museum, art gallery and State Library; as well as other on-site entertainment.

The 'Games Hub' concept will combine a number of sports in one venue and provide an opportunity for spectators to view more than one sport in an international standard facility. The precinct also provides a focus for cultural events and social meeting places.
