Eight of the worlds finest duets and teams will showcase a host of international
synchronized swimming talents at the brand new Nassau County Goodwill Games Swimming and
Diving Center. The synchronized swimming teams of USA, Canada, China, France, Italy,
Japan, Korea and Russia have accepted invitations to compete.
FORMAT:
- Team and duet competitions will consist of both a short program and a long program to
determine the gold medal
- The duet competition will consist of athletes who may also participate in the team
competition

HIGHLIGHTS OF SYNCHRONIZED SWIMMING AT THE GOODWILL GAMES
- 1994: The USA successfully defended its duet gold medal with the
winning entry of Becky Dyroen-Lancer and Jill Sudduth.
- 1990: The USA's Kristen Babb-Sprague captured the gold in solo
competition, and identical twins Karen and Sarah Josephson won the duet gold medals.
