 1998 Goodwill Games Triathlon Notes
· Today's race was the second Goodwill Games Triathlon. The
first was held at the 1994 Goodwill Games in St. Petersbug, Russia. The 1994
triathlon was the highest attended event at the 1994 Games (80,000). The Triathlon
was the only 1998 Goodwill Games competition in which admission was free of charge.
· Actor Stephen Baldwin and Olympic Gold Medalist (swimming) Amy
Van Dyken both attended the triathlon.

· Men's winner and defending Goodwill Games Champion, Simon Lessing
