| Cause re-defined: |
Beginning in 1998, 'goodwill' has been redefined for the Goodwill Games.
The Games have adopted a new cause, 'benefiting children.' The Goodwill Games official
charities are the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and UNICEF International. The Goodwill
Games have teamed up with TBS Superstation for the million dollar SuperChallenge.
The SuperChallenge is a fund-matching program which aims to generate one million
hours of volunteer time and $1 million for the national organization of the Boys &
Girls Clubs of America. Time Warner is making a donation to UNICEF International on behalf
of the Games. |
