The Goodwill Games strongly believe that sports play a valuable role in the lives of children. Through sport, we can teach young boys and girls valuable lessons and give them important tools which will help them grow up in a complicated and often confusing world. Since 1998, the Goodwill Games charity program, the Jr. Goodwill Games, has sponsored several programs that have touched the lives of kids around the world.

"Interacting with kids through sports helps instill motivation, leadership, and teamwork," said Mike Plant, Goodwill Games President. "These characteristics are the primary drivers to raising a kids' self-esteem and motivating them to achieve more in school and in their community. As a successful sports company, we feel an obligation to encourage kids to reach their potential."
